Lost

Today, my friend and I went boating. In the middle of the lake, we decided to jump in. We put our valuables in the boat and jumped in. When I tried to get back in the boat, it flipped over, and our cellphones, along with my car keys, are at the bottom of the lake. FML

Give up boating and pick up diving?

WHY WOULD YOU BRING THOSE THINGS WITH YOU ON A BOAT?! I get not having a safe place to put them-- but then why the HELL would you *jump out* of that boat and risk something happening to all of your shit? My GOD YDI for being such a dumbass!!! >_

jk next time take another friend wit u

You're brilliant! Lets leave objects that sink in an open boat that can flip and sink your contents. BRILLIANT. Seriously, you should have just left your cells in your car, and put your keys in a pocket.

hopefully not Camp Crystal Lake we wouln't want to upset Jason Voorhees...

and thats why you should always put your stuff in a plastic ziplock bag along with some air so that they float and stay dry.

Ah, that really does suck, we once tipped a canoe while dragging it onto a small island, camera was dunked in water. Oops! But really, it's called "a plastic bag" And for those saying to leave your stuff on land, I agree with the car keys, but a cellphone? That is always a good thing to have in case of emergency. You just have to be careful with it.

this is why 1) you leave the phones on dry land or get something waterproof to put them in 2) you buy a key chain ring with a miniature life ring on them. they sell them at many boating stores. So when you drop your keys... they'll float.

your an idiot if you cant figure out how to get into your boat without tipping it over. Ive never tipped mine over.
