Make it stop

Today, I finally found out that someone had stolen my debit card and maxed it out. The good news? Whoever it was forgot to change the address on the card, so everything they bought online has been shipped to me. The bad news? I've received 16 snuggies so far, and I'm still counting. FML

Today, my doorbell rang while I was still in bed. I leapt out and immediately got a severe cramp in one leg, then, staggering around trying to throw some clothes on, I scraped the other leg badly enough to draw blood. When I got to the door there was nobody there, just a parcel on the doorstep. FML

OP is a moron. 1. You don't 'max out' debit cards. You max out credit. You CAN drain your checking account with a debit card, but it's unlikely since most credit unions will have a limit on the ammount that can be spent using the card in a single day. And most credit unions will be monitoring the spending, so will call you to confirm that you're actually making the purchases. 2. Debit cards don't have an address associated with them for shipping. While your credit union will have your address on file, but won't just give it out. Credit cards have a 'billing address', but billing != shipping. Next time take at least a second to do a little research. Maybe then you'll learn at least the basics of the topic about which you're composing your fake FML.

#1= Not true. I am a college student and on several occasions I have "maxed out" my debit card, that is to say spent more than $7,000 on it. No it was not on shopping sprees but I had to pay my tuition for college. My debit card's limit end where my bank account's limit stop (and since I have no overdraft protection), I can even overdraft my account by up to $500 dollars. Which can leave me with a negative balance. Much worse than credit cards. #2= I agree. But still if you pay using a credit card, you have to enter a billing address. I do tons of shopping online and there is not one single site I have encountered that will automatically fill in your billing address for you if you provide your cc number. A debit/credit both need addresses and that can not simply be "filled" automatically by sites. Unless the person who stole the card bothered to look up your name on the internet, that's the only way he found out your address. And still, it shows someone was just being an ass to the OP.

My debit card definitely has my address attached to it as the "billing address" because it is a Visa card. And banks have debit cards too, not just credit unions. there are some idiots on here...of course you can max out a debit card. maxing out one pretty much means that the person has emptied his bank account. aka he is now broke apart from what could be in his savings...also snuggies rock, FML because tbh I wouldn't want to spend all my money on them also if I have bad spelling or grammer. don't mention it. because that males you even worse than the trolls on here tbh...

Just wait. That big TV is coming soon, I bet. KEEP YOUR HOPES UP! :D
