Today, I was at my boyfriend's house. I've been a vegetarian for 4 years, and his mother made lasagna with meat in it. After telling her I don't eat meat, my boyfriend's father says "we know whose meat she does eat." My boyfriend, his mother, and I were standing right there. FML

boyfriends fault imo. If I were having my girlfriend over I'd make sure my mom knew she was a vegetarian. Dad sounds like a cool guy though

Why is everyone dissing hippies? I smoke weed, have long (often dirty) hair, adore the Beatles, looking at acid sometime soon-ish, and have a boyf with gorgeous long hair. And I recycle and love nature to death. What's wrong with any of that? I love hippies!

#107: So you're a vegetarian AND you have a problem with hummers, but you still won't call yourself a hippy? ...joking ;) Other than that, I eat vegetables and meat, and I don't care if people don't want to eat meat. But I do hate it when they try to make me feel like I should not eat meat. They make their choice, I make mine, and I don't want to hear dumb arguments that make no sense unless if you believe animals have souls like in Disney cartoons.

number 87 is not an idiot, although he or she might be an asshole. 99 and 100, are you chics? i am a vegan but i do not bitch. you politely remind them you are veggie. they say o we forgot or we didn't know, sorry. maybe they make you something else real quick like boxed mac n cheese or soup or pasta, or maybe not. either way, no big deal, no one gets hurt and everyone knows for next time; this is not an FML, funny dad was just trying to lighten the mood maybe

#66 You said, "#18 is not a "polite" vegetarian; they aren't a vegetarian at all." If being a vegetarian requires you to rudely turn down your host's food if it has any traces of meat, then I guess vegetarians are rude by nature. Honestly. Unless you have legitimate allergies, or a person willfully made you food they knew you didn't like or were strongly against eating, you should eat what a host serves you. The world could do better with a little more politeness, and by insulting me, you only reinforce my point.

what kind of pu$$y doesn't eat meat??? you deserved that!!

118, the choice to avoid meat is a legitimate reason! Also, there are certain intolerances that are not allergies. Some people can't eat gluten. It's not an allergy, though.
