Today, Christmas got cancelled this Saturday because of my narcissistic sister being upset that the guest list has two of her old friends, who are now my friends. It's my first Christmas with my family or friends in 23 years, and my mum even offered her a separate dinner on the 25th, but nope. FML

Today, I went to a wedding with my family. While the maid of honor was giving her non-heartfelt, three sentence speech, my mom and I started talking about how lame her speech was. When I turned around to look at my mom, I saw the camera recording the speech behind her. FML

I'm always so on the fence about FMLs like this. I'm never certain if the OP deserves the comments or if the other people involved are just being rude for no reason. Like maybe OP is very inappropriate or exceedingly rude and hateful? I wish I had a little back story to WHY the MIL said that she didn't want him there.

Yeah it's not OP in laws are generally awful and on the rare and I mean very rare occasion you luck out with a good set it's rare. Most of the time they treat you like shit and make you feel like an outcast.

and the best part is that if your wife then challenges that shitty behavior or refuses to go to family events where you're treated like shit they'll still blame you for "taking away their daughter" rather than take responsibility for being shitty people.

In laws suck trust me I don't know what's wrong with them but it's like they go out of their way to make you feel as unwelcome and like an outcast constantly. I did not luck put in the in law department. Especially my sister in law who's pure evil.
