My father calls me Babygirl and I still call my father Daddy. I'm 22 and I don't live with my father and sometimes he text's me in the middle of the night because that's when he gets off of work. In all honesty, I don't think her father doing that was weird at all, I also think the FML was more because her boyfriend flipped when it was just her dad.
Don't lie what petophile father calls his daughter baby?? If he said baby girl or something then that's different but just baby? I call bullshit
He probably left before she could tell him or show him the contact information to prove that it was her father.
My pop calls me baby.... I'm married lol... And maybe she had him in her phone as "daddy" (that's what I call my husband), so it could be mistaken for a lover. Or something weird like a nickname, or his real name. I dunno my dad is "Pop" in my phone... but my sister has his real name.
This! I have both my parents cell phones under their names (AKA not mom or dad), and from looking at a text or call log from them, if you didn't know if was my parents, why would you not just think it's some random person or something?
If you wouldn't believe the woman you loved if the same situation came up in your life, especially if she had never lied to you and this was the first time anything like this had happened, you really have trust issues. Sure, some girls are lying ****** who cheat on their boyfriends, but not all of them are.
Aw, that sucks, but I'm sure you can clear it all up with your boyfriend. And just to be clear, a father calling his child "baby" is completely normal. Also, I have my parents saved as their real names on my phone, not "Mom" or "Dad". Perhaps she did the same thing, and her dad showed up as an actual name instead of "Dad".
I agree with those who seem to understand that father's call their children baby...my dad calls be babydoll all the time, I'd find it weird if he gave me any other salutation. It's not creepy, those who think so obviously don't understand that its totally something that happens, it'd be weird if he'd said something actually come on like but calling you baby is just an endearing name!

Ouch, that sucks! He should have given you a chance to explain :( Seriously, who pressed "YDI"? How does she deserve that in any way?
That just seems weird that your dad says "Hey Baby"... But still, not really a FYL. Show him the sender; he'll be apologizing like crazy.
