Today, a car hit me while I was on a crosswalk. The driver jumped out of her car and stepped over me to check her car for damage. FML

How about filing a police report and including her priorities in it? I'm sure that if you hit a pedestrian, no matter who was at fault, your first obligation is to make sure the pedestrian is okay and gets the appropriate help.

good Samaritan law in a lot of states say the bystanders have to help. if you're at fault I'm sure there is something about that.

it's always the drivers fault for hitting a pedestrian. they have the right of way. so she better check her car for damage because she won't be able to pay for it

135- untrue. If the pedestrian is not in a cross walk and they're hit by a car they can be fined.
