Never grow old

By Crystal - 08/03/2010 21:35 - United Kingdom

Today, I showed my fiancé the darling Tinkerbell hoodie I'd bought myself during the weekend. Instead of liking it as I'd hoped, he told me my childish wardrobe was embarrassing, and he wasn't going to be seen in public with me until I wore something different. FML

Most people who generalize are douchey bigots.

Guess that means he doesn't want to be your Peter Pan.

Only if it's a girl. Dudes are 'fiancé'. It's French. :)

If he's ur fiancé then shouldn't u be a little to old for that?I agree with him I'm 12 and even I still don't wear that, btw so u get some use for him telling u that make him take u shopping for a new wardrobe and if he tell u no say then I guess u will have to deal with me wearing Disney

I have a kitty named Caboo. She's a flaming homosexual too.

It's obvious you're twelve. You can't spell at all, and your entire comment is a run on sentence.

Why should he spend his hard-earned money, just because she has no fashion sense? Sexism works both ways...

Why are we all talking to a twelve year old like an adult? That's my question. She's twelve, she'll learn about these wonderful things in time. Well, unless she's in, say, Texas. In which case she'll believe the Earth is flat.

The 12 y/o has made the best point so far. If he's your fiance, he should already be used to your childish wardrobe (unless this is something new, if that's the case, he's right). But seriously, if he doesn't like it, then he needs to buy you what he approves of (apparently, anything that doesn't have cartoons.... so that should still be fun/good for you). At least your engaged! ooo.. you should mess w/ him and tell him the wedding is going to be tinkerbell/peter pan theme and you need him to get all his guys together for a tight-fitting... ;) haha..

you should've told him if he let it pass, you'd make him fly ...in bed?

.... not feeling this one, Chris. Seems kind of half-assed.

I guess this is one of your "swing and a miss" moments? I'm waiting for another one from you that makes me laugh, like one I read a few FMLs ago.

so you're either to young to be getting married, or you're to immature. grow up. who can take you seriously in the adult world when a childish disney character is grinning out of your shirt? YDI, and I can't blame your fiancee for being embarresed that they woman he loves has the mind of a three year old.

That was rude of him. Where I live, I see grown women wearing tinkerbell, winny the poo, hello kitty, tweety bird, etc. stuff quite often. They're usually very nice, bubbly women too. It's not my thing, but you're definitely not immature for dressing like that. If he doesn't like it, he could be more subtle and maybe buy you a few shirts himself.

if you're old enough to have a fiancé, you shouldn't be wearing Disney characters

that tinker wardrobe is so trashy and embarrassing YDI

If your fiance loves you enough to marry you, he shouldn't really care what you wear.

Yes, exactly. I'm turning 21 in June, and I've asked my mom to make my party Little Mermaid themed. My boyfriend just thinks it's funny and cute. Still liking Disney does not make you childish, it makes you young at heart.
