Nice try

Today, a cute thirty-ish chick walked into the bar I work in. I asked her for her license to make her feel young. She didn't have her license on her and started yelling about how stupid it was to even ask, when she obviously was old enough to drink. She then got up and left. FML

Or PMS. Chances are she was pissed off before going into bar and OP unfortunately stumbled upon her final straw.

obviously she wasn't old enough. don't let it bother you.

Maybe is she old enough, but she really has no sense of humour ;)

I carded everybody, and after 4 years I was the only server that didn't lose their job due to serving under agers. AND, she's out drinking and driving without her drivers license? **** her. Even if not your intention, you did the right thing, this isn't an FML, it's more Ftsbwtttrdath (Fuckthestupidbitchwhothinksthattherulesdon'tapplytoher)

Nowhere does it mention that she was driving. But I enjoyed your long acronym. :)

So true! It annoys the living hell out of me when people somehow think they're "exempt" from the rules. I work at an establishment that serves alcohol and it's ridiculous the number of people who get shitty when you ask them for ID. And as far as the age thing goes, sometimes it's difficult to tell. I'm 27 and about a month ago I had a person ask me if I was in high school. At my job, I carded a woman who was 36 years old. And #153 is absolutely right. Even if a person is 50 years old, if they do not have an ID on them, we are not supposed to serve them alcohol (I live in Virginia, the rules may be different elsewhere). It's much better to be safe than sorry and I am not going to risk my place of work receiving a fine or losing our license or both for the sake of not "offending" someone. If you're going to be ordering or drinking alcohol, you should have your ID. It's common sense, not rocket science. To be honest, if someone who is obviously of age, for example, a person in their 40's or 50's, I don't card them but most people younger than that, I do. It's my job and I don't care if a person has a problem with it.

ya she's the ****** up one. it's his job to ask for id.
