Nice try

Today, a cute thirty-ish chick walked into the bar I work in. I asked her for her license to make her feel young. She didn't have her license on her and started yelling about how stupid it was to even ask, when she obviously was old enough to drink. She then got up and left. FML

most places have a sign that says "if you are under 40, we will card" in case something like this happens. sure you knew she was old enough, but you had every right to card her. and every right to not serve her since she didn't have id.

Here's a suggestion: if a cute 30ish chick walks into your bar alone to have a drink, you can make her feel young by telling her you want to take her home and bang her. That's why she came to the bar alone in the first place.

If there was a like button, I would've clicked it three times.

Yep she probably was a shitty tipper anyways.

that's cute and sweet though, FYL but if she is that eager to react negativley she isn't worth you attention

Shit seems pretty strict in the US. Here they don't card anyone basically, unless they're obviously too young, then again the drinking age is 18+.

You obviously have absolutely no idea how annoying it is to be carded. It's a DRIVER'S license. If you're not driving, you don't always think to bring it with you or have it stashed somewhere that's easily accessible. Have you people not heard of walking? Taking the bus or train?

Your drivers license is kept in your wallet at all times yes? You should have your wallet on you at all times. You should have some form of identification on you at all times. You think its annoying to have to bring a small piece of plastic with you to go out drinking? How annoying do you think it is to get not only yourself, but the company you work for fined 10s of thousands of dollars for not checking ID? I'm 21, I've been legally allowed to drink for 3 years, I was out on my 21st birthday and not only was I carded, but one of my friends who is covered in tattoos and doesn't look a day under 23 was carded. The RSA guys carded every single person who went to the bar that night and every single person they saw holding alcohol. So next time you whinge about having to carry out probably THE most insignificant action of your day so that you can enjoy a night of fun, think about the consequences of everybody affected by your non compliance, because its not just you.

actually plenty of people have ids without licenses

She was probably an undercover cop and if you had caved in and served her without seeing her ID, she'd slap the cuffs on you -- and not in the fun way! Must be nice to have a job where you can hunt for fresh meat on someone else's nickel!

Perdix, I wasn't aware that there was a non-fun way that involved handcuffs.... You have enlightened me to a whole new world of pain. You are my new pinhead master! http://horrormovieempire.com/reviews/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/pinhead2.jpg
