Today, I discovered that my fiancé had tried to fake his own death because he thought it would be easier than confessing to the affair he was having. FML

why the hate? She didn't say he succeeded, only that he TRIED to fake his own death. It is not like she has believed this months over months. As for HOW he did it... how is she supposed to explain this within the character limit of an FML? My ex has done the very same thing. Faked his own death (he was in the army, living in Italy, where I was supposed to follow six months later), so it was easier for him. He faked his own death, and only because I snooped around in his email account one day (to delete it) did I realize he was living the good life with his new millionaire girlfriend. Sometimes life is just that: absolutely and utterly unbelievable

Just kill him. Buy some dry yeast that you can generally purchase at any food market, pour it on the body to make it decompose rapidly, find a way to shatter the bones and hide the remains in several locations.

You know, there are dumb enough people out there that would attempt something like that. I mean there was that case where a guy (politician) commited suicide by drowning only to return 10 years later because he got home sick.

If he was trying to fake his death to get away from you, I'm gonna wager dollars to doughnuts that you beat the shit out of him, control the finances, or emotionally control his life (probably by threatening suicide). YDI for abusing him. Go die in a fire.

I'm having a hard time believe this.. especially since this came from a movie. But if this is true, I'm so sorry. You're better off if he's too scared to man up.
