Today, a police officer showed up to my house and informed me that my boyfriend was killed in an accident. Later, I found out it was a prank set up by a friend. He thought faking his death would be easier than confessing that he was leaving me for someone else. He didn’t want to see me get "upset". FML

Today, I opened some junk mail addressed to my fiancé and saw a credit letter about applying for a new mortgage. When I called to tell him his identity was stolen, he admitted he bought a house, and then broke up with me. I had no clue he was unhappy. FML.

why the hate? She didn't say he succeeded, only that he TRIED to fake his own death. It is not like she has believed this months over months. As for HOW he did it... how is she supposed to explain this within the character limit of an FML? My ex has done the very same thing. Faked his own death (he was in the army, living in Italy, where I was supposed to follow six months later), so it was easier for him. He faked his own death, and only because I snooped around in his email account one day (to delete it) did I realize he was living the good life with his new millionaire girlfriend. Sometimes life is just that: absolutely and utterly unbelievable

At least he felt guilty about it. It would be even worse if he just told you, broke the relationship and get married with the girl.

that coward. sounds like peter pettigrew from harry potter XD so sry and 70, wouldnt it have been better for him to have confronted her about it? i mean, the initial pain would have been worse, but recovery would have been much faster. wounds of the heart are so complex and hard to heal...time itself doesnt do a very good job :(

If this was a guy in this situation, the girls would be attacking him saying he did something wrong. So I would just like to say: If you simply did the right things in the relationship (namely, more sex, and gotten really into the sex), he would have not felt the need to cheat.
