That sucks man...I don't understand why everybody is hounding on you for not getting a ride from someone else in your family-its the fact that your gf of that long ditched your homecoming for an intramural game....which doesn't matter. #30...He should have gave her a date before He left. She should have cleared and put everything off for at least 2 weeks; She has 6 months to plan!!!!!!! what more does she ******* need?. She needs to be the one to be planning not him. He has been deployed. She is very irresponsible; none of my friends and I would never do that to our boyfriends. His family has nothing to do this; his girlfirend should be there and she needs to ditch this game for him. This is way more important. If she cried when he left she shoulf feel ashamed because she can't make it to a his homecoming. Are you serious????

You definitely deserve someone who better appreciates what you do for our country. A sport, most especially an intramural sport, is no excuse for not showing a person how much you love and support them.

My ex-boyfriend used to blow me off all the time for intramural sports. He liked playing games so much that he's just playing with himself from now on! That's my best advice.

oh, brainwashed "non-idiots" ... LOL From these 2 lines we cannt tell wether they had any agreement or promises, did she supported his decision to join the army or begged him to find another decent job and not leave her for 6months. We dont know what was going on between them. He knows that she was going to a softball game. It means they have communicated recently. Had he bothered to ask her how she felt, what is important to her? And, yes, maybe she just doesnt want to dump him on phone or in the airport, but is going to do it in a decent way face to face later. She is a bitch if she supported joining the army and promised to wait for him before the deployment. If she did not, then she just has her life as she wants it to be. The guy has a choice: to accept her "not so noble", "not so important" and "not so serving" life and value her choices as much as his own or leave her forever.

Maybe there isn't anything to look forward to after 6months of being gone. she would rather go to a freakin' softball game than have sex with you. sad
