Today, I was pulled over. The cop seemed very familiar. Turns out he was a relative of mine whom I haven't spoken to in a very long time. We had decent conversation and caught up. He still gave me a ticket. FML

Because some laws are stupid af and we don't know what OP did. Cops you don't even know will let you off with just a warning sometimes. Depending on what OP did, it wouldn't have been hard to just dismiss it, especially from a family member.

Some laws are stupid? Elections are soon. Run for president and change them. Until then, follow them no matter how stupid they are.

Just because you're a distant relative doesn't mean you are above having to blow him to get out of the ticket. Jeesh!

What makes you any different from anyone else? You wouldn't have gotten pulled over if you hadn't broken some kind of law.

The problem here, and with other FMLs, is that they're biased towards the poster. I'm going to assume that if you got a ticket from a family member, you must have been doing something pretty reckless.
