I doubt it was the small discount that meant you had lunch at the hospital cafeteria but rather the lack of time doctors and nurses get to have meals. Their breaks are usually very short - no time to leave the hospital.
have you notice taxes rising? I be doing the same thing as a taxpayer, otherwise date rich guys OP.
You should always ask where you are eating. To plan an outfit. If all else fails, just say this is how you always dress. Look on the bright side, I bet all his friends gave him high fives for having such a good looking woman with him. Thus him taking you out more.
I believe now, as I always have, that the true test of a persons dateability is how they react to cheap but decent food and good company.
That's why the rich man stays rich
Never assume.
what is with all these negative comments she is friends with him so obviously she didn't think he was some rich guy, she probably hoped they go somewhere special, its different if she meet him at the hospital for dinner, but he probably just picked her up and then drove to the hospital. hopefully you had a good date op
From this FML it seems op was more disappointed in the fact that he didn't tell her it was going to be a cafeteria lunch so her dressing up was probably embarrassing! Doesn't mean she's a gold digger but some notice on his part would have been nice
She expected him to pay for her. Unless he offered it as part of the date that's just really shitty
Just like a previous FML, NEVER assume...

Well you might think he would take you somewhere special, but just because he didn't doesn't make him a bad person. There won't be fancy dining and wining all the time. Is he a resident on a smaller salary or fully licensed already? Maybe the man had to be on call later so he couldn't put all the juice into it he wanted to. You never know.
I'm sure he has a shitload of medical school student loans to pay off.
