Today, my dad is getting married for the 4th time. First it was my mom, then as they got older, he married a woman 10 years his junior, then his third wife was my age and 28 years his junior. Now at the grand old age of 64, he is marrying a 22 year old, 42 years his junior, almost 2 decades younger than me. FML

Today, my father told all of us that he eloped with his girlfriend of two months. I'm engaged to the woman's daughter, and have been engaged since before they met, but now my family is making fun of me for marrying my "sister". FML

Today, my dad introduced me to my half-sister. He'd only recently found out that he had another daughter by another woman, and had only just met her. She and I have been in the same class in school for the past three years. FML

On one hand I have to say it's really gross that your dad married someone younger than his own kid. And to those people commenting that it doesnt mattr cuz they're both adults, you dont know that. how do you know OP isn't still a teengager? Believe it or not a lot of fmls are from people under 18. Even so, though, one can't help who one falls in love with. Even if your dad's new wife IS younger than you, and even if being so makes her underage, it's still love. Unless she married him for money or vice versa. In which case it's unfortunate they married for selfish/monetary reasons. Either way, I'm sure you'll grow used to it, and nothing says you have to like her or call her mom. She can't force you to do anything. But who knows? Maybe in time you'll bond with her. Keep your chin up, OP. I'm sure things'll look up soon.
