Today, my friend and I were arguing over whose boyfriend was better. Just as I was about to convince her, my boyfriend rang. Trying to start the perfect conversation, I put him on speaker phone and answered, "Hey Tiger, I was just thinking about you!" He broke up with me on speaker. FML

Today, my boyfriend called me to break up with me. Immediately after we hung up, I started crying hysterically. I thought I dialed my best friend, and as soon as the line picked up, I yelled, "That motherfucker broke up with me!" My now ex-boyfriend replied, "Yeah, I know I did." FML

Today, I got into a huge fight with my boyfriend. I called him and started yelling at him over the phone. He told me that if I wanted to end the relationship I should just hang up the phone right then. Before I could say I still love him and don't want to break up, my phone battery died. FML

What's with all the YDIs? So she was proud of her boyfriend and wanted to show him off to her friend, big deal! It was probably just a friendly debate, not a catfight. And besides, it's not so weird that she put him on speaker. He probably knew OP's friend and if he was just calling to say hey, then why not put him on speaker? It's not really the best thing to dump someone over the phone, I guess it's better than a text though. Oh, and it's also possible that his name was Tiger. Maybe it wasn't but don't totally dismiss the possibility if it's there.

That sucks OP. I usually call my fiance pet names. One time, I was trying to get his attention and after trying babe, baby, honey, and his name, he didn't answer so I just yelled "butthead" he finally answered.
