Pipe down, Pam

Today, a customer kept harassing me and threatening to sue me for all I'm worth because I wouldn't give her a free refill. Her reasoning was that it's "illegal" to deny people a free refill if there's still a little drink left in the cup. FML

Ignore her and move on. There is no case there so let her sue, she'll be laughed out of the courtroom and hopefully fined for wasting time.

If only this was true with gas when your gas tank still had some in it!!!

Another fine example of how the customer is NEVER right.

First, you have to love her rationing, second what's the big deal about a refill. I know it's not you and its always a company decision on free refill or buy another drink... However, great customer service of your company would be to offer free refills. Honestly, most places offer them.

She works at a coffee shop. Look at the user name. If there's somewhere that offers free refills on $6 drinks, let me know, as I've only ever seen free refills on soda in restaurants never cappuccino.

Talk to her in the baby voice and tell her she can't have more until she finishes what she already has

If we're talking about soda... Seriously annoys me that places are charging $2 and better for a fountain soda and charge .75 or better for a refill... Nickle and dimeing people will cost you more customers than the .03 it's actually costing to fill a soda cup.

Even if it was soda that doesn't give the lady the right to bitch and rant and an innocent person. It's not the OP's place to question store policy and give away the stores product without permission. A person could lose their job doing something like that and one random stranger is not worth the OP's job.

oh the delight of working at a restraunt. I know how you feel OP. It will get better.
