Today, I had just finished an elaborate charcoal drawing as part of a college application that took a good week. When I read over the requirements, I found out it needed to be done in graphite pencil. FML

When all else fails "Read the instructions"?

YDI for not reading the instructions. But still, turn it in anyways. He might not be able to tell the difference.

If not difference can be told then the school's art program can't be very good

Yeah, he's gonna be some sort of ART CRITIC. So I think he might know the difference between pencil and charcoal, mmm?

Sorry, I know absolutely nothing about art. The best I can manage are stick figures. If that.

OP shouldn't burn the thing, he/she should keep it for another art thing.

Good thing you've got plenty of practice.

Sounds like someone is not ready for college.

Tell the teacher you dilemma and hopefully they'll accept it? Next time read over the requirements..

Sell it if you can, then start over

If the school you're trying to get into requires a pencil drawing, it can't be that good.
