Today, I was driving when I noticed that the guy in front was on the phone. I pulled up next to him, pulled out my phone and I made a gesture that he needed to put his phone away. It was a cop. I got a ticket for driving while on my cell phone. FML

114 calm your **** holy shit. OP was watching another driver WHILE ALSO DRIVING and was chasing this person down to gesture wildly about a cell phone. How is that any safer than the cop using their cell phone? OP should have been, I don't know, paying attention to the road and minding their own business instead of hunting down another driver.

I clicked both yls and ydi, but seriously, you should fight the ticket and tell the judge what a bad example the officer was being to other drivers for being on the phone. What, he's too cheap to use a Bluetooth?

Challenge it in court and tell them the cop was on his phone while driving. You might be able to get it nullified.

How the does Op deserve it? Cops need to follow the laws too. They radios for "police work". Op just used the phone as a gesture not actually talking on it therefore not breaking any laws. Cops don't have the right to be a dick just because they get caught doing something wrong.
