Even though it's biodegradable, it'll still take awhile for it to fully decompose. It doesn't just instantly break down...
What a lame excuse for littering! Do you even know how long it takes for something to decompose and degrade? I bet you don't go and litter your own yard with banana peels just because they are biodegradable. So if you have the balls, go and throw all of your biodegradable stuff into your own yard.
Ya it does. As long as it's not hurting the environment she can do what ever the hell she wants with it.
It takes a couple months for fruit to biodegrade. I don't think the OP was wrong to do it, because fruit trees drop fruit on the ground all the time. It's actually better because a) it doesn't go to landfill where it will never decompose, and b) other creatures can benefit from it as food which he
I feel sorry for the for OP. I always throw eaten fruit into bushes or onto grass. They are fully biodegradable and they benefit the pants and the soil (It's called compost). And no #120, it doesn't take a few months. It only takes a week or two, and it's far better then having the rotten plant end up in a landfill where nothing will be benefited and only have it stink up the place.
Good for you for saving the Earth :)
Maybe next time you should throw a roach
these people are ******* idiots. it's BIODEGRADABLE. it's GOOD for the earth
Actually, biodegradable has two slightly different meanings. The first is that it is simply broken down by biological means/agents. The second that it is easily broken down into safe components for the earth. Obviously this slight difference is taken advantage of in industry, but you are right that with the banana peel, it's biodegradable in both senses. However, there is a difference between something being good for the earth and people liking it. NIMBY comes to mind, though I tend to feel that should be altered to 'not within my sight wherever I might go' because that's how a lot of people really react.
