Today, I went for a run. I ended up being tackled by two cops, handcuffed, and dragged to the station with no explanation. Turns out a house nearby had been robbed and the best description they got was, "A man running." I didn't even get an apology. FML

Today, my man got arrested for starting a fistfight with a cashier who wouldn't let him smuggle out groceries without paying. It gets worse; two weeks ago he got arrested mugging a guy at a gas station, and he's still on bail. FML

My dad is a great police officer also. He would never wrongly accuse someone and would only use self defense (throw someone on their car) if need be. I know I definitely feel safe knowing that I can call 000 in an emergency and will be helped within minutes. My dad has been shot and stabbed during his time serving, already. There are a lot more bad citizens then police officers these days, it isn't 1879. Police background check is done on every Cadet before enlisted. Just like soldiers, there are the dodgy and the genuine protectors of our countries. 
