Rumbled

Today, a man on the train asked me if I had any change. I quickly responded with, "No habla ingles." He then tapped me on the shoulder and said, "That would've been a lot more believable if you weren't reading that paper." FML

it's "no hablO Inglés", dumbass. you sound like my mom...we went to miami years ago and every time a person started talking to us in spanish, "no habla espanol!" she sounded like she was saying "we don't have lysol"...it was so weird

amen to all those people who said that this person needs to speak correct Spanish. as a Spanish speaker, it's offensive when ignorant people try to be one of us.

would have been funny as help if he said " its ok I speak Spanish too" lol

And it would have been even better if you had conjugated "hablar" correctly. It's "no hablo ingles," genius.

YDI. If you're not being nice enough to give the poor guy some change, then at least say so and don't make up stupid excuses. This whole situation could've easily been prevented. "Any change?" - "No, sorry." "Any change?" - "Sorry, not today" etc. Jerk.
