Today, while baking, I was joined by my roommate who doesn't really cook. I was making a batch of dough and she volunteered to help. After showing her how to knead, she really got into it. Afterwards, I asked why she wanted to help. "It really cleans my nails", she said. FML

I would be compelled to throw out whatever she touched. That is nasty and disgusting. Cooking 101 is cleanliness. Always clean your hands and especially your nails before cooking. Actually, that's just a life 101. FYL OP.

Time to throw that batch out (throw the bitch out next). If you're roommate is that much of an unclean slob, it may be time to find a new roommate.

As nasty as this is, I don't think it warrants a search for a new roommate. She does need to learn obvious lessons about hygiene, though.

But I think it's worse than bad hygiene. It seems like she did that on purpose.

I agree with 30. I would have been pissed. If she's not going to find another roommate, then she should make her cookies the same way. Wait until she's eating one and then say "hey I tried out your nail cleaning trick with the cookie dough. You're right, it really does clean your nails out!

Nail fungus really helps bring out the natural flavors of the dough

That's just nasty, she should've washed her hands before handling the dough anyways.
