Self-confessed dumbass

Today, my mom found out I'm failing three classes. Now she won't let me go to a convention I bought passes for weeks in advance. Each pass was $45, and I bought 2 more for my friends. You do the math on that, because I apparently can't. FML
I agree, your life sucks 18 102

You shouldn't have failed your classes. I wouldn't be surprised if this happened to me if I failed classes

you deserve it OP, next time work harder and you'll reap the benefits

Even if OP studied all the time like you claim could be the case, it's pretty obvious the convention is the priority over school.

get better grades & don't prebuy stuff if you live under mommy's thumb

if you're that desperate, just run away and go for it, i would do that.. but on return, hide your phones and laptops xD

People can work hard and still fail. I revised so hard for one of my exams - even over my 21st birthday after cancelling plans and I failed. My friend who didn't revise at all passed.

Damn, that's harsh. I mean, unless you're failing classes because you're lazy and/or disruptive and she's been made aware of this. My mum was all "HOW DARE YOU NOT SUCCEED!??!" as well, and this was for an advanced business class!

same thing happens to me man I'm assuming you're talking about pax, except I had a D and was not able to go to last years pax prime

The math is simple really: $45 per pass times 3 passes us equal to $135. However the most important equation may be: loss of money times missed convention divided by lesson hopefully learned equals: priceless
