Today, I accidentally ripped out my boyfriend's insulin pump while trying to give him a lapdance. FML

I'm sure he wasn't too pumped about the lap dance after that.

As a diabetic, these are disposable and have to be changed every 3 days anyways. It's incredibly annoying when it gets yanked out, but usually not too painful. Shit gets in the way, better disconnect it next time.

I bet that gave him a (diabetic) shock.

Not sure what would happen next. What about a follow up OP

Honestly guys, he probably freaked out for a second and then put a new one in.

This post made me shudder. Reminded me of when a kid I worked with ripped his out on the playground.

This was just recently written on another app too.

I can't find any humor in this:/ I'm sorry OP I hope your boyfriend is okay.

Eh, it looks like I wasn't the only pump-using diabetic who got a chuckle out of it, even though I also winced from remembering when something similar happened to me (but that was from scraping my ass along a hard, icy hill after I fell snowboarding...the agony wasn't specific to the pump getting ripped out). It does suck for OP's boyfriend, but unless he doesn't have enough insulin on hand to fill a new pump, it's more of an inconvenience than anything.

Awwh it happens occasionally. Hurts for a very small amount of time but you forget about it. Well you rip it out yourself every three days. As a diabetic with a pump, this made me laugh. It's happened to me so many times before.

What type of pump do you use? The one I use you just put a new site on, reconnect it and fill the cannula (which only takes 0.30 units)

Not a problem 'Sweetie'... And he's sure not going to suffer from low sugar should things get heated either...
