It isn't that big of a deal. It's not something you surgically have put in. It's basically a needle connected to the pump. No biggie as long as he can replace.
This is exactly why I don't wear my pump anymore! To many things pulling it out
The song: Pour some sugar on me!
If its anything like my boyfriends, its just a little port that goes in ur skin with a small needle. It doesnt do any harm. All u need is to reattach a new port. Diabetics take their pumps off all the time during showers, swimming, sports etc. so nothing drastic wouldve occured besides slight pain as the needle comes out :)
Don't beat yourself up. I ripped my husband's insulin pod off trying to roll over in bed one night. Fun way to wake up. :)
Hi diabetic with insulinpump reporting in :) I rip my own out way too often, so I know how this feels! Insulin pumps are usually fastened with a bandage-like tape and there is a really tiny tube going into the outer fat (usually) on the stomach. Having it ripped out feels just like pulling a bandage off, it hurts for a second and afterwards it's just annoying having to put a new one in. Hope this helps anyone who thinks it hurt like a kick in the groin :)
Guess, he ain't tippin the ladies
Well at least you tried.
