How exactly is this a FML situation? You went out on a first date with a guy that not only wanted to pick up the check, but actually bought you a decent meal. If it was a first date, did it never occur to you that perhaps he was nervous or a little anxious? It's not like people that don't work in retail really have a need to think in percentages on a daily basis. Cut the guy some slack.

Leave the poor boy alone. He was probably just nervous being around you. And after spending that amount of money on you, just be thankful.
