Today, I celebrated my birthday with a few friends at home. As I bent down over my cake, my friend pushed my face into it. The baker should've told me she put a stick in it to support the cake. FML

Today, I was sitting next to my friend as he blew out the candles on his birthday cake. Some asshole got the bright idea to shove his face in the cake, but they missed and pushed me in instead. The candles were still lit. My hair caught fire. FML

Today, it was my friend's birthday, so I baked him a cake complete with his name written on it in homemade frosting. After I gave it to him, his mother berated me for it, saying I should have checked with her first before making a cake for her son. He's 28. FML

Today, my friends got me a cake for my birthday. As I blew out the candles, they shoved my head into it and I was knocked out for 3 minutes before an ambulance took me to the hospital. I got a concussion from a cake. FML

Today, I celebrated my friend's birthday. While everyone was completely wasted, a couple of friends suggested that I throw a pie in the birthday boy's face. Only seconds after doing so did I realize that the centre of the pie had still been burning hot when he screamed in agony. FML

Today, it's my birthday and I was very happy. When the moment came to blow the candles, all of the decoration on the cake flew off. It had taken an hour to make and set them on the cake. FML

Today, I took my friends out to an expensive restaurant for my birthday treat. They had arranged for a surprise birthday cake for me which I cut, very happily, while they chanted birthday wishes. When the bill came, I discovered I was supposed to pay for my great 'surprise' cake. FML

@8 My face is fine, just got 12 stitches below my eye. @85 That's exactly what the ER doctor said. I did post this, even though it says i didnt...oh well, thank for those who cared.

I'm glad you're ok (I saw a version of this when I was moderating last night so when I saw it on the front page I wondered "Hey, what happened to the part about the stitches?") I agree with those who said the blame goes to your "friend," not the baker. Is the asshole covering your ER bill?

well it's certainly not the bakers fault! it's common practice to support cakes with dowels. I'm sorry about your face and all, but don't go after the baker, (i am a pastry chef, just stickin up for the industry) it's your friends fault for ruining your cake, face, and birthday with such a mean "joke"

get a life people! would you like if that happened to you? um, no. and it was her birthday she did not totally deserve it! oh, and if she's posting now it doesn't mean she's okay! she could be blind in an eye if it stabbed her in the eye! grow up and think about what you would do, and stop being rude! thankss(:
