Today, an attractive guy asked me to get coffee with him. My response was, "I don't drink coffee." I turned down the first guy to ask me out in 3 months. FML

not the smartest move you made , you should of turned around and said i drink tea tho . seriously why turn down someone if you like them . verbal filters just don't work when you need them.

Yeah saying you would have preferred another drink to coffee would have been a smooth move but hey, not everyone works well under the spotlight :)

I would then add ".. But I drink [insert hot beverage name here]. I'd love to go out!" That would've solved the problem.

Well you could've said,"I don't drink coffee, but I do like..." At least you would be dating somebody.
