Sorry for nothing, lady

Today, a parent was too busy texting to notice her child had run in front of a moving truck. She did however see me grab the child's backpack to yank him back out of traffic. She then screamed at me for "manhandling" her child and demanded I be fired. It's not even my school; I'm a part time sub. FML

What a bitch. Needs to look after her own kids.

Some people are too obsessed with their phones to even notice the real world. Good for you, you saved a life OP!

Oh yeah you only saved her child's life, no biggy. So ungrateful

Im glad that there are people out there that still care :) I'm not going to lie, if she talked to me like that after saving her son I would have snapped but you should explain what happened then shrug it off knowing that you saved a human life!

I HOPE that someone like you is around if my daughter runs off the sidewalk.. That's one of my worst fears. My boyfriend makes my daughter run to the corner and tells her we'll catch up. I'm terrified that she's going to run off or get snatched...

If you really feel that way, then why do you trust your boyfriend with your daughter?

Who the hell cares if you get fired shove the kid back in front of another car

I would have stuffed her phone down her throat.

This is why I would NEVER try to help a child. It's regrettable if it got killed, but parents have nobody but themselves to blame.

glad I wasn't in your shoes, that kind of dumb ass assuming behavior would have set me off, I would have gotten fired anyways for screaming in her face

Regarding your username OP, you are a good person and the mom is an idiot who is so absorbed in her phone to pay attention to her kid.
