Sorry Mr Whiskers

Today, my overly-attached 14-year-old cat wanted attention while I was in a heated Skype argument with my girlfriend. Worked up from the fight, I raised my voice and said, "Not now, go away!" He ran to his little bed, had a heart attack and died. I was a complete dick to my cat in his last moments. FML

This is probably the most awful FML I've ever read. I'm sorry about your cat, OP :(

This seriously makes me want to cry. Not because you were rude to him in his last moments but because it's just really sad he died like that :'( I have a soft spot for cats.

Don't blame yourself, OP. Sometimes things happen and the timing is just horrible. Gentle hugs to you. I hope you're getting the comfort and love you need right now. Take care and remember the good times.

Same thing happened to me when my mom gave my cat a bath

I'm so sorry. thats why I don't force my kitties into anything

Wow this is one heart breaking fml! I can't even imagine how upset I'd be if I was in the same position as you but you really had no idea that would happen, and if she lived that long you obviously took very good care of it. Don't be upset by a few moments instead think about the years of happiness together.

And you'll prob breakup with that girl soon and feel even worse .

wow what are you a robot ? have some repect the guy is going through alot atm!

I feel for you since I had a similar experience. I'm going to hug my dog a few extra times when I get home.

I have to remember with older pets that they are like someone in their 90s or 100 even and rather frail. They need more tender loving care and probably startle really easily.

Maybe it was just a coincidence. 14 human ears means a lot, @ 75 in cats years. Living this much means it had lived a good life. It came to you while you were skyping to say farewell.

Oh wow :(. Poor kitty. You couldn't have known, though. So sad. If you can, it would be an honor to his memory to donate to an animal shelter. Don't feel too guilty about it.
