Today, I was t-boned and my truck was rendered useless. I was given a ticket even though the man who hit me ran a red light. Why? Because there was dirt on my license plate. FML

I know that your license plate must be legible at all times, but whether or not a license plate is clean has nothing to do with whether or not someone would crash into you. That's very stupid. You can get a ticket for the license plate separately, but not in place of giving a ticket to the man who hit you. You should take it to court. Such stupidity should be corrected.

I once dropped my Harley turning into a parking lot in the middle of nowhere. The cop came into the ambulance to give me a ticket for failure to maintain control of my vehicle. It was $5 plus $250 for court costs.
