Sounds similar to what my ex did to me. He had been paying for my website, which had been a birthday present. One day I got an email that my payment was late and found out the credit card on file wasn't working. I called him and he simply said he got a new card. I asked for the number to update the website account and he replied, "No." That was his way of dumping me..... nice...

I had a recent ex actually wait for me to break things off. Joke was on him. I strung him along for a few months longer. I got free sex out of it and treated him like shit. Don't want to be with me then just break it off. Don't be a dick about it. Also the whole "my mother [didn't] like you" crap doesn't work. There's another reason and this is just another excuse. Unless you're a real mama's boy then thank God you broke things off!

Maybe he tried to break up with her plenty of times "in person" and she didn't want to accept it. So he changed his number as a last resort. I've witnessed a situation like this. The chick was psycho and desperate.
