If you believe it is a ghost OP then there is no need to be frightened is there? she's been there for ages and never done anything so just make your peace with the fact she is there. If you do not believe in ghosts then why be scared. Either way I would look into what it could be even if it is just to set your mind at rest.

Wow that's really scary. But maybe they could be pulling your leg or are they old? Maybe they are going crazy or something. Or perhaps.......the ghost is going after them. I mean they're the one who's seeing it.
