Today, my boyfriend dumped me because he said he needed to be with someone smart so that he could impress his parents. I just got accepted into medical school. When I pointed that out to him, he added that he needed to be with someone attractive. FML

This isn't much of an FYL. Your taste in men does leave a lot to be desired. But I think he's doing you a favor to free you up for someone better. So, in a way, you do deserve better than him, but it sucks that he put it to you in such an uncouth manner.
