you really should point out that the evidence is so suspiciously obvious that it was you, that it couldn't have been you because you are smarter than that and it was probably Simeon who wanted to frame you or a friend who skipped your house because of friendship.

Question is, is your house also the eye sore of the neighborhood or the smallest house? That would explain why they skipped you, and possibly if your neighbors had certain sentiments before
