Today, I got a text from a girl that I've had a crush on for a long time, asking me out to dinner. I agreed and went to the restaurant. Not long afterwards, I got text from her saying something had come up, so she couldn't make it. As I was walking back to my car, I saw her walk into the same restaurant with another guy. FML

perdix i will not argue with your logic that ppl aim for a better deal. it's only logical ppl go for what suits their desires more. if you want to have a discussion of this then PM me i hope to learn more on your viewpoint when you say "better deal" you mean looks right? there's alot of factors to determine,i wouldn't even bother naming them if given enough "oppertunities" someone could be able to get someone out of their league. i've seen some ppl succeed in getting ppl out of their league. besides as someone said that's such a last resort perdix you also said we condemn him to frustration and disappointment and someone say to accept your flaws OP idk how many times you may have been chewed over.But know this "if you lower your standards" you lower your pride and the girl you date the time would have been a lie. it's true you may encounter hardships on the way but at least you fail knowing your way. If you really feel affected by perdiz's statement then as someone said "accept your flaws and live with it" but then change it. the competetion is hell out there,if you feel like your standards are too high for you...then rise high enough and reach out so in time i dosen't look so high. build yourself up,drink milk to get taller idk but as long as you go higher even if it's bit by bit you'll reach it evetually. reach out and take your happiness with your own hands man. MAN UP IF YOU DARE BRO!
