Today, I found out on Facebook that my supposed best friend bought a concert ticket to a show. The concert ticket cost the exact same amount as the plane ticket she told me she couldn't afford to come see me. FML

Maybe she didn't had money because she already bought this concert ticket...

umm you ever think she bought the tickets were purchased ahead of time before you asked her to vist you and the location of concert was closer more convienent idk did you ask her about it...sorry i am sure theres some good reason...but this doesn't mean your life is ******

I've had the same thing done to me a few times.. it sucks.. but some people think music is more important in their lives..

YDI for thinking some friend on Facebook wants to see you.

#74, it doesn't say that they were friends because of Facebook. OP just FOUND OUT on Facebook. They could actually be friends who have already met. Maybe one of them just moved away. Read more carefully next time, yeah? And OP, that's a bummer. She could have at least been truthful. :/

I'd choose a concert over visiting a friend anyday Sometimes bands only come to your city once in their tours

It sickens me to see the amount of people that depend on facebook and myspace to communicate with friends and "CHECK" on each other....but seriously cyber stalking freinds is lame. There are so many FMLs with the word facebook in them...it's kind of pathetic. Maybe the band is her favorite, and your not her favorite friend so there really is no competition. Why can't you fly to see the band with her?

concert = only seen like once to few times a year friend = CAN SEE ANYTIME so who cares sheesh, i wouldn't wanna miss out on my favourite singers concert i mean who wouldn't want to?

sweetie, think about how much a trip involves more than a plane ticket. that's lots and lots of time, especially transit time, expenses for food, transportation to or from the airport, either finding a place to park her car, having to get someone to drop her off and pick her up, or paying for a taxi, figuring out where she'll stay and what she'll do... and it's all fairly stressful, too. i'm not saying she couldn't have been a little more forthcoming, but i would try to understand it from her point of view and considering all the extras involved. a trip by plane is a big undertaking.

Stop complaining and buy a ticket to go see her. Why is it that you can't go see her? And maybe her parents paid part of it as a reward for doing something. Also, as stated, a concert isn't much of a time constraint. You can still work the day of a concert. You have to take off work for a trip, as well as money for expenses there, possible cab fare, the grueling hours in the baggage check and security lines as well as the possibility that it might fall too close to school for her to be able to.

Did it ever cross your mind that maybe she had bought the concert ticket BEFORE talking to you about these airplane tickets, and thus not being able to get both? Obviously not, because by the sound of this I'd be very willing to bet you're a woman, and with women, everyone is always out to get them, and no matter HOW ignorant or irrational they are being, they are 'ALWAYS' right.
