Give her an Etch-A-Sketch and tell her it's an iPad.
there's a physical component you can install in a computer (our local library has them) which resets all computer settings whenever you restart.
Just listen to it and agree. You will miss it in later years....
Some observations: (1) It’s a miserable task being free tech support for someone who is not very good with computers - No matter what you do they will inevitably have more problems. (2) In ordinary times maybe a computer class of some kind for novices would help - but now with COVID that’s a problem. (3) Personally I use Symantec Norton System Utilities or Systemworks to clean up errors in the computer and Symantec Security to protect against the worst of the malware and viruses. These are not free but they work the best of the utilities I have used. Unfortunately the Security one has to be renewed yearly. These might save some headaches, but at the risk of making you “technical support” from now on.
YDI for having the attitude that your relative owes your mother free tech support for life, but that listening to your own mother talk is unreasonable for you to bear
