Thanks for noticing

Today, my long-distance boyfriend was at my house for a 10-day visit. He told me that we'd never spent so much time together, so he didn't know me well and now, he'd finally met the "real me". He doesn't like it. FML

Honestly, long distance relationships are hard. A similar situation happened with me and my bf, but we worked through it - not that we didn't like each other, but we fell off the pedestal. It happens in every relationship, but it's worse in long distance.

I feel your pain. Happened to me. 10 day visit, dating for 4 months. After day 6, he just kind of ignored me.

That sucks, but having a long distance relationship work is extremely hard. You would be better off dating someone you can see on a regular basis.

Did he tell you on the first day? Because that would make for a long 10 day visit if he did...

me and my girl met on halo. she lives in cali and i in michigan, shes gonna goto school in Pittsburgh though and i just didnt think i could handle seeing her like once a month so i broke it off. long distance can be hard when you want someone to hold onto ya know? maybe your both better off finding someone you can be with more often than not.

Well ydi for not being open enough to your bf. You could have avoided such an incident by describing ''the real you'' to him so perfectly. One does not necessarily need to share a living with the another to discover his/her true personality. Speaking of it should be enough, of course on condition that both sides are reliable enough.

i'm sorry :( i hope you find someone who loves you :)

People are being harsh on the BF here. Something similar happened to me (minus the distance, mostly) where the more time I spent with a girl the more I realised we weren't right, and she couldn't see it. Breaking her heart was one of the hardest things I've done, but in the long run it's better than trying to force the relationship for her sake, only to have it fall apart even more catastrophically at a later date.

Actually....no one was really being harsh on the BF....

i hope that doesn't happen to me when my boy comes see's me for the first time =/
