Thanks for noticing

Today, my long-distance boyfriend was at my house for a 10-day visit. He told me that we'd never spent so much time together, so he didn't know me well and now, he'd finally met the "real me". He doesn't like it. FML

Honestly, long distance relationships are hard. A similar situation happened with me and my bf, but we worked through it - not that we didn't like each other, but we fell off the pedestal. It happens in every relationship, but it's worse in long distance.

I feel your pain. Happened to me. 10 day visit, dating for 4 months. After day 6, he just kind of ignored me.

Same thing happened to me last year. I flew to Omaha, Nebraska (OMAHA!) to see him, and he broke up with me the last night I was there. Be strong!

Then u should probably stop lying/making shit up online.

what do you expect? it's kind of hard to really get to know someone long distance. relationships are made up of soo many aspects that can't be built over the phone. stick with people that you can spend time with. distance is an unecessary stress on a growing relationship.

you never really know someone until you live with them.

that's bullshit #37 it may be possible, but you cannot deny the fact that a relationship would be easier if you lived closer. you need to spend time with eachother in order to build a relationship. People with a thriving long-distance relationship are usually in denial and will eventually discover that they don't really know eachother. in the cases where it does work, good for you. but it definitely adds alot of stress.

Seriously, don't have much sympathy for people like this. That's part of life, get used to it. I've had my heart broken several times now and nobody has ever said yes. And no, there's no seriously wrong thing with me like being a jerk. Get used to it.

It happens sometimes, LD relationships are hard. You can't get to know somebody too well over the phone.

YDI i think. Internet relationships aren't real relationships. God, i hate seeing technology being abused like that. Just because you read someone's myspace profile, doesn't mean you know everything about them, or you're "In Love" with them. Try going out and meeting people. That way, you can visit them on a daily basis.

Yeah! Way to be supportive!

Aww. That's terrible, I'm sorry. I hope that doesn't happen with mine.
