Thanks, I hate it!

Today, an older lady approached me at work and stroked my hair, telling me it was 'beautiful'. This isn't unusual, I'm a natural redhead and octogenarians especially seem to love the colour. However, the unusual part was the glob of snot she left in my hair from her unwashed hands. FML

I have pink hair and the same thing happens to me. People just walk up and touch it and I'm just sitting there uncomfortably like ╥﹏╥ and meanwhile they're all ⊙ω⊙ while they just run their fingers through my hair. (I like emoticons. Kill me.)

As a fellow natural redhead, I feel your pain. I hated working retail and having old men be creepy about hitting on me while I was on the clock. Policy wouldn't allow me to tell them to back off or walk away. So I had to just deal. It was awkward.

I have red hair too, but NO ONE just walks up & strokes it without losing a hand! Are you kidding? Random folks just do this out of the blue? YDI for allowing it.

Yeah, I feel bad for people with uniquely colored hair and pregnant women, whom people apparently feel are fine to approach and touch without permission, even complete strangers

YDI op .. I don't think you should let random people touch you or even get close enough to touch you.

This is why I don't let people touch my hair. You don't know how often people wash their hands.

I know that feeling. I am a natural redhead too and my hair is really long. People will just walk up and grab it. I am always looking at people's hands to be sure they lack foreign material..
