Interviews are to make a good impression. It might have been better to politely decline. Anything could have happened. Spilt coffee, jelly landing on your blouse, powder ring around your mouth and now choking and vomiting? :O
Rule number 1 never eat during any interview. Even in lunch or dinner interview one should barely eat until all speaking has concluded. In all the interview etiquette books dude!!
