FYL. But it sound like the fund was at most a few thousand USD? Better get a job and start one yourself (in secret- I'd suggest saving 80% of what you make and use the rest for fun). If your parents surprise you and pay for college after all you've got a nice emergency fund. If they don't re-establish the college fund, you can at least pay for it yourself without having to take out a loan. (Also time to do some research on how much money you would need for the colleges you want to go to! Doubt what you had was enough anyway).
