The internet never forgets

Today, I got called in for a second job interview for a position I'd applied for. When I met the interviewer, she smiled and told me to have a seat. She pulls out her phone and says, “So, care to explain this?” It was one of my TikToks from ages ago of me singing the "N-word" over and over again. I forgot I had that. FML

yet another perfect example of why you don't post stupid shit online. it always comes back to bite you in the ass

Tiktok only launched in 2015, if you hadnt learned by then not to use the N word by that point (or be stupid enough to record yourself saying it repeatedly) then they're right not to hire you, since you're obviously an idiot.

anyone else think it's a bit fascist to look up old videos of a person for a job interview? this wouldn't even fail a background check. you shouldn't have to live a corporate sanitized life just to not be homeless.

No. People want to hire workers who help make their company look good. Except Trump's many businesses, where it literally pays to be some sort of asshole.

Why do people have this need to share absolutely everything online?

And this is why you watch what you put online...

welcome to 2024 where everything you've ever written online can be accessed and used against you.
