That's kind of what happened to me my first time too, I was just leaving town with my dad for our summer vacation trip on a train so I had to quickly call my mom over the phone while I was in the bathroom trying to figure out what to do

My dad was the only home when I got my period. We both had panic attacks. His advice was to get into the shower and wouldn't let me get out until my mom got home.

Not bad for a dad, I would say. I was staying with my grandparents for the summer when mine hit and I was alone with grandpa. NO way was I talking to him about it plus grandma had truck and town was an hour aaY by vehicle. I sewed "pads" from Kleenex and cotton balls!

I feel bad for the daughter, she had to stick a sponge in her underwear. My dad used to pick me up pads and tampons if I needed them when I was a teenager living at home, I thought most father's did at least SOME research when they had a daughter.. guess I was wrong.
