The strangeness of strangers

By zomg - This FML is from back in 2012 but it's good stuff - United States - Port Saint Lucie

Today, while at work as a cashier, I tried to be sweet and ID an elderly man buying a bottle of wine. He responded by calling me a "blind-ass bitch" and calling my manager for "harassing" him. FML

Some people just need to learn to take compliments once in a while...

I think you'd get a better result if you did that to an old lady

Been there it sucks. I always try to tell the customer to take it as a compliment but you always get that one person who has to cause a scene over asking for I.D.

For me, this could go either way. Yeah, it's obvious he's old so you shouldn't HAVE to I.D. him, but I guess it would be the legal thing to do. On the other hand, asking for his I.D. is the legal thing to do and can be taken as a complement. So, OP, sucks for you, but I would've done the same thing.

I'm sorry OP. I guess some people are just bitter.

What's funny is Walmart makes you card everyone, so if OP worked there then they really had no choice.
