The tourist

Today, I toured an art museum. Our tour guide had an obvious lisp, so I tried my best not to laugh. When she asked me a question about a sculpture, I accidentally replied, "Yeth ma'am." She ended the tour right there. FML

Well, that's what happens when you laugh at people with problems. Are you 10?

And the FML here is that you didn't get to go on the museum tour? You sound like a 6-year-old who didn't get dessert because you misbehaved. Honestly. How is lisping even that amusing in the first place? And even if it is, try to control yourself and be just a little more sensitive to people with problems. She face up to her minor disability every morning because she has the competencies to do the guided tours, and you ridicule her for it. **** HER life, not yours.

Those who think OP is an asshole.. You're idiots. It's not like he can control what he laughs at? Also he was trying not to, not laughing straight out to her face .

its called self control. their lack of it is kind of disturbing.

You all should stop being freaking mad at OP. Some people accidentally start talking like the person who's talking to them. he didn't mean to! God Damn!!!

that's what I said!!! I've done it before too. I just laugh when I realize I was talking likethe other person. I do that same when some speaks in Spanish, turns to me talks in English and then i reply in Spanish. I just laugh and explain that I was listening to them speak Spanish so then I started to. it's no biggy. people need to learn to laugh at things geez.. yeah there's a line you shouldn't cross but this really wasn't that bad

When I was a truck driver hauling produce from the fields to a dehydrator factory I wound up talking Spanglish. The illegal aliens and I laughed about it. What is said, not how it's said, is what is important.

92, 175 Yes, finally some people I can agree with! I can totally see myself accidentally picking up someone's lisp or accent just by listening to them talk. I already do so subconsciously with some mannerisms and such. For the most part I just do it once or twice, but occasionally I pick up on something that sticks with me.. Not that any are coming to me right now for an example, haha. 198- Well said. =]

Yes I know what you mean I usually end up speaking like others without realizing it and I sometimes speak in a different accent I've hear and only notice after it's weird.

Does Christian Bale has a lisp too? :p YDI. It was definitely a rude behavior but the tour guide should not have ended the tour because of one insensitive person. She should have been more professional..
