Today, I came out as lesbian and introduced my new girlfriend to my family. My mom angrily told me that I should have waited until my grandparents had died before coming out, and that I was "extremely disrespectful" for making this announcement. I honestly thought everyone would be fine with it. FML

Today, I came out to my mom. I had an epic speech planned, and when I tried to tell her, it all fell apart and I started crying and just said, "I'm gay." After a few seconds silence, my mom sighs and says, "Duh." FML

Today, I came out to my parents and siblings as gay. They were very accepting and asked me why I waited until I was 25 to do so. I didn't have the heart to tell them it was their own homophobic remarks that kept me closeted since I realized it at 14, and that a previous coming-out to a parent was dismissed as 'a phase'. FML

Today, I told my mom that I’m a lesbian. She was fine with it, supported me 100%, and it was a huge relief, until she followed up with, “Until you find a husband, then you’ll obviously have to stop all that.” The reason I even told her is because my girlfriend just proposed to me, and we’re engaged. FML

So whoever is saying that being gay goes against christianity, and that you can't be gay and christian: you are wrong. Being gay is a sin to God but it's just the same as lying, cheating, stealing, being gluttonness, etc., which I'm sure you've done before. Being a christian is NOT about judging others and it's about loving one another. So quit making us christians look bad. Just because this girl is gay, doesn't mean she deserves to be treated poorly.

i dont see the problem is when we people are gay. do what u wish, why should i be telling you who you like is either wrong or right? i dunno why people have such a hard time dealing with it... get over it people, time to move of with the rest of the world. and what is more pathetic is when your parents dont approve, pretend they didnt hear you, thought u were joking or anything like that. this is your kid.. be supportive thats what they need not to be looked at as if they are an alien.

wow all the people are hating of this fml are asses .....there is nothing wrong with being gay why does it matter if u are attarcted to the same sex ..... I u love somebody that is the same sex of u there is nothing wrong with it...so all u asses get a ******* life this is a a fml because telling ur mothe ur gay and. her not believing u and then having to tell her again..lots of people are depressed or get into drugs!!!! so keep ur hating thoughts to urself!
