They're just trying justify why dreams they had were never fulfilled. Wich were most likely not going to take off whether not you were born or not. You are a scapegoat, don't feel too bad.

Sorry. That must feel awful. I know for a fact that my mom didn't want children (she had two, we're not twins) and when she found herself pregnant (both times), she was hoping for boys. We turned out to be girls. And yes, she said this within mine and my sister's presence (she was chatting and laughing with someone else about it).

i don't see why this is an FML....perhaps FTL (their) but you being born had nothing to do with you, it was a choice they made...they were probably just looking at the alternate paths they could've taken.
